Earlier this fall, the board members of the PLT were meeting and we were discussing the fact that the PLT was going to have to go on a hiatus in order to "get a real job", and "start the path to get into the family business". Well as it turns out that no, this is not the case. The PLT gained a new surprise sponsor. None other than the Girl Scouts of America. God bless them, it looks like all those cookie sales are going to good use. So get this. They are paying me to live at 9200 ft. between Park City and Big Cottonwood canyon and the only real work time is in the summer when the girl scouts are here. I get my own 2 bedroom cabin, a new huge truck, a john deer gator 6X6 gator farm ATV, 3 snowmobile's including a new 800cc, 4 lakes 25 some odd acres that backs up to Brighton ski resort. On another side of me is Dear Valley ski resort that offers world class down hill mountain biking. Ive heard this situation referred to as "like a pig in shit". This place is my dream spot. Its the kind of place that I would buy if I had millions of dollars. Its already snowed here 2 storms, probably about 20" over all has fallen. Good things do happen to good people.

The cabin and truck and 'gator' 6x6

Everything under the mountains is mine including 4 lakes. On the other side of that is brighton ski resort. ha ha ha

Remember to keep buying girl scout cookies! It will be buying me a motorcycle.

more on ressission and economic woes

so i know these posts arnt nearly as cool as the videos i was doing but here's an update. the pictures are in opposite order.
when i was in india, my parents said that they would be in china with my youngest brother visiting my oldest brother and his family. so i changed my plans and flew from delhi to beijing to meet everyone. we hung out in beijing for a bit, went to the great wall and the forbidden city and went to an army base and shot automatic weapons. then flew to south china to hang out in a beautiful town on a river. then to hongkong, then they all went back to beijing and toured south china for a month.
then i took the highest train in the world to tibet. tibet was not what i expected. very dry and desolate with some very high mountains. saw some cool temples and camped at the base of mt everest. went to the highest lake in the world and got to the highest ive ever been, 5248m. to get into tibet you have to be with a group tour. im not a group tour kind of a guy so that was a little annoying. we had a bus that kept braking down and there were a lot of bumpy roads. now im in kathmandu nepal.
i found out a wile ago that i dont have a job back on the river this summer. under normal circumstances, this would be a bad thing. but in this my line of work (that is the now not having a job and traveling instead) you have to be flexible. so last night i went walking around town and found a rafting job here. i wont really be making anything but living for free. they also do trekking and biking. so ill stay here for a wile, then maby go to japan and try to work on a organic farm/guest house for the summer.

Laos

Its been a wile since ive had fast internet or internet at all for that matter. so this will be a little out dated. after my last post, i left cambodia and headed for laos. jonas and i made our way across thailand to get from the cambodia border to the laos border. from there we went to a town on a river called vieng vieng that is a cross between mtv spring brake and extream tubing. beautiful place and tons of fun. then to the old capitol of lombprabong for some great street food and hanging out on the mekong. then we went to a small town on a

small river for some more hammock time and fishing. then for a 2 day boat trip up the mekong river to thailand.

Cambodia

This video is us in angkor wat in cambodia. we (jonas and i) met up in bangkok and then spent a few days on koh samet, wasnt fun. so we left for koh chang. we found a great beach and had a great time there. did some amazing scooter riding. then to koh maak to do 9 days of serious chilln' on the beach. these islands are the new undeveloped spot in thailand. then back to the mainland to the cambodia border. a 3 hr taxi in a toyota camery with a lift down a very bumpy road to siem reap to angkor wat, one of the 7 wonders of the world. this is all in the angkor wat temple complex. next stop..... laos and extreme river tubing

Burma

This video is me going through burma. i flew into yangon, the old capitol, then took a bus to tangoo, then a bus to inlay lake, where there were houses on stilts and people that rowed boats with their legs. from there i went to mandalay, the new capitol. there i taught an english class and then took a boat all day to bagan. bagan had thousands of 12th century temples all over the place. then from there a bus (and let me mention that all of the bus rides are on cramped buses where there is not enough room for my long legs and the roads are dirt and potholed making travel very slow and uncomfortable (most were around 13 hours, one was 17)) then a bus back to the yangon. burma was an amazing country with some of the most friendly people ive met. with very few travelers in the country, so just walking around its like you were a super star with everyone staring.

End of the summer

This video is some of the last bit from the end of the summer. Next post, Thailand.
